The American Institute of Dental Assisting is unique
Due to the
fact that the
curriculum is designed to emphasize actual hands
on learning. Students assist the doctor in treating actual
patients in a high-tech dental environment.
Students
also learn
The technique of taking digital x-rays,
both intraoral and panographic. They learn the basics of
computerized charting with Dentrix, the most commonly used
dental software.
With the “hands on” experience
The students receive,
they are better prepared to begin their careers in dental
assisting.
An important focus in our classes Is
to prepare our students to take the DANB (Dental Assisting
National Board) exams to become x-ray certified. We
emphasize the importance of preparing our students for these
exams, because in the State of Arizona a dental assistant
must be x-ray certified in order to take x-rays.
Becoming x-ray certified makes it possible for our graduates
to be better skilled and to earn higher wages in the dental
profession.
